Frequently Asked Questions about Eisenhower Fellowships
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS
We bring two groups of approximately 20 outstanding mid-career Fellows
(aged 32-45) drawn from 47 different countries to the U.S. annually for
an intensive, individually designed program in the Fellow's professional
field. Fellows are identified
by high-level in-country nominating committees and selected by a committee
at Eisenhower Fellowships headquarters in Philadelphia. Click for more information on our programs
USA PROGRAM
We send approximately eight to ten high-achieving mid-career (aged
32-45) U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents abroad for an intensive, individually designed program
in the country of their choice. Fellows are selected by blue ribbon
steering committees and are currently recruited from across the nation. At least one Fellow per year is
selected for an Agricultural Fellowship. Click for more information on our programs
ALUMNI ACTIVITIES
During the fellowship travel period, we challenge the Fellows to identify tangible, concrete outcomes which they will undertake upon their return home, and we track the results. Since our founding in 1953, some 1,900 emerging world
leaders have become Eisenhower Fellows who better the world around them through their individual actions as well as their collaborations within their countries and across national borders. They compose a global network
with a varied menu of events and activities around the world. Click
