Eisenhower Fellowships Inc. (EF) recently held its Philadelphia Conference with the theme of “Global Competitiveness: Leadership for a Changing World.” The event attracted over three hundred delegates from across the globe that comprised of Eisenhower Fellows, Alumni, Trustees, and special invitees. The keynote addresses included a speech by Eisenhower Fellowships Chairman Gen. Colin L. Powell (USA) and Eisenhower Fellowships President John Wolf.

The Eisenhower Fellowships Sri Lanka chapter (www.efsrilanka.info) was represented by Mr. H.D. Gunawardena, who is also a member of the EF International Alumni Advisory Council (AAC).

Several areas pertaining to leadership development initiatives and global opportunities were discussed during the session, which took place in mid-November 2006 in Philadelphia, USA. Mr. Gunawardena is the chairman of Prudential Holdings group of companies.
