Faculty Member, CIDECarlos Elizondo Mayer-Serra, ’03, Mexico, concluded his term as Mexico’s ambassador to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in November 2006. He has returned as a faculty member at CIDE (El Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas), División de Estudios Politicos, where he will be writing on the political economy of growth and rule of law problems in Mexico. |

Institute of Security and International Studies Celebrates 25 YearsKusuma Snitwongse, ’83, Thailand, convened an international conference in August 2006 to celebrate the 25th year of the Institute of Security and International Studies, which she founded. The theme was “Democracy and Human Security in Southeast Asia.” Snitwongse reports, “From feedback, it was successful, and now we are working on getting a book out.” |

President of the Board, Live Arts Festival & Philly FringeTom Lussenhop, ‘01, USA, has been named president of the board of The Live Arts Festival & Philly Fringe in Philadelphia for 2007-2008. He was previously a four-year Festival board member. Lussenhop, an independent real estate developer, is active in numerous urban development ventures as well as university and cultural projects in the Philadelphia area. He currently serves as project executive for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center Phase II development of a new “arts and culture” neighborhood in downtown Newark adjacent to the acclaimed New Jersey Performing Arts Center. |

Appointment, Technical Board of Federal Housing AuthorityTimothy Nubi, ’04, Nigeria, was recently appointed to the Technical Board of Federal Housing Authority, an organization dedicated to deliver affordable housing to Nigerians. Nubi is also senior lecturer and head of the Department of Estate Management at the University of Lagos. |
Appointment, Senior Police AdviserKevin Carty, ’97, Ireland, is now senior police adviser to the Secretary General, Strategic Police Matters Unit, in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. He has relocated to Vienna, Austria, for the position. Carty, who is on secondment from the Irish Government, was previously assistant commissioner of the Northern Region An Garda Siochana, Sligo. |

EF To Relocate in March 2007Eisenhower Fellowships will begin an exciting new chapter when it moves three doors up 16th Street in March 2007. The building, formerly a law office, boasts more space and amenities to serve the growing EF staff and family. To link the past with the future, the lock from the old headquarters at 256 South 16th Street will be taken in the move. Fellows will still be able to use the same key to EF House that they were given at the time of their fellowships. As of March 1, 2007, the new address will be: 250 South 16th Street Please make this change in your records, and be on the lookout for an open house in the future to showcase our fantastic new headquarters! |
