Irish Fellow Profiled in Sunday Business Post
Fiach MacConghail, '04, Ireland, was recently featured in the Sunday Business Post for his work as director of the Abbey Theater in Dublin. The article recognizes MacConghail's successful efforts to bring in more than €30 million worth of funding during a time of government cutbacks.
The article continues: "Living up to the name that makes him sound like an ancient Celtic warrior, MacConghail has a strong claim to being the most important and influential figure in the Irish arts world today. In an environment where backbiting and begrudgery are often the order of the day, the shaggy-haired, broad-faced MacConghail commands almost universal respect. He is variously described by friends and colleagues as 'passionate,' 'astue,' and 'a superb motivator.' The playwright Stuart Carolan (once better known as Novan Man) thinks of him as 'part politician, part alchemist - like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.'"

2008 MNP Fellow from Peru Featured in Magazine
Jacqueline Saettone, '08, Peru, was intereviewed by Cosas magazine about her Eisenhower Fellowships experience and entrepreneurship in Peru. Of her time in the U.S., Saettone says, "The United States is one of the most innovative countries in the world thanks to the freedom they enjoy. I believe in democracy and think that freedom must come with responsibility. And yes, I am very optimistic. It is the only way to be. Otherwise, you can’t change anything. Changes don’t have to occur from one moment to the next. But wouldn’t you be happy if you saw that 20 years from now Peru has developed? And how could you achieve this by being pessimistic?"
